Police seek help in finding alleged driver involved in a collision

The RCMP are seeking the public’s help to locate a suspect who police believe was involved in a motor vehicle incident on Highway 3.

A woman in her 30s died in the crash, which happened around 3 p.m. Monday.

Officers from the Fraser Valley Traffic Service and Hope responded to a report of two vehicles in a collision about 10 kilometers east of Hope on Highway 3.

The alleged driver of one of the vehicles involved left the scene before police arrived.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, about 5’9″ to 5’10”, with short, dark hair, a thin face with stubbly facial hair and a slim build with broad shoulders.

He was wearing a white- and red-coloured motorcycle-style jacket with tan-coloured shorts.

Mounties believe the man traveled to Hope after the collision.
