A Surrey family is worried that if a limousine that barrelled into their home on Sunday is removed, the whole building could collapse.
“The family is really traumatized with what happened so we’re dealing with that right now,” family member Gary Khosa said.
“We’re just waiting for an engineer to come and assess the situation.”
Police said the limo ended up in the house near 144 Street and 74A Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

Four adults and two children inside the home were uninjured. The driver suffered cuts to his face.
It’s unclear how the limo ended up in the home and the building’s structure is now a concern.
“The limousine is actually supporting the structure right now so there is the possibility that the house may collapse or partially collapse when it’s removed,” Surrey RCMP Sgt. David MacDonald said.
A manager with North Star Limousine Services says the driver has been on the job for two months. He was alone and off-duty at the time of the incident. Alcohol could be seen in the back of the limo.
In B.C. it is illegal to consume alcohol in a vehicle.
Two years ago, North Star Limousine was involved in an incident in the Vancouver neighbourhood of South Granville. The limo driver ran a red light, sending an ambulance crashing into a clothing store. The company suspended the driver for one month.
