Several people have been arrested after Regina police searched multiple homes in the city.
It happened early Friday evening on the 1,000-block of Retallack Street. Three homes were searched under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
While executing these high-risk warrants, Regina police called in SWAT, Canine, Gang Unit, Street Crimes Unit and Community Services Division.
Regina Police Service said in a statement that the SWAT team used a number of tactics including loud noises and explosions.
Residents living in the surrounding area were advised by police that the noise was part of their operation and asked residents to stay inside until the searches were completed.
Police aren’t releasing any details on the arrests at this time.
