Saskatoon police locate stolen truck to find its been sold

Saskatoon police are reminding people not to leave their keys inside vehicles because it could be stolen and even sold before it is recovered.

On Tuesday, three vehicle thefts were reported.

Police said one was a truck left unlocked with the keys left inside.

The vehicle was located at around 3:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday by officers who discovered it had already seen sold.

Five people were arrested for possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Another one of the three thefts reported to Saskatoon police involved a suspect who entered a different truck, located the car keys for the owner’s other vehicle and subsequently stole the car.
