London police are appealing to the public in hopes of identifying a man wanted in connection with a break and enter and assault in mid-August.

It was around 2 a.m. on August 19 when the suspect entered an apartment building near Masonville Mall. The occupant returned home and confronted the suspect but was assaulted before the man fled on foot.

Police released video surveillance images on Wednesday in hopes the public can help identify the suspect.

The suspect is described as a 25- to 35-year-old white man standing about 5’7″. He was wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeved blue shirt, black backpack, and white sunglasses sitting on top of his head. He had short brown hair and “shaggy” facial hair.
