Man charged with punching Prince Albert hotel worker

A man has been charged with assaulting a Prince Albert hotel worker.

The front desk worker told police he was assaulted by a man Wednesday morning who appeared to be intoxicated at the hotel in the 3800-block of 2nd Avenue West.

He said the man was causing a disturbance and when he asked him to leave, the man became aggressive and punched him several times in the head.

The man then fled the hotel on foot.

He was tracked down by Prince Albert police officers and police dog Daxa on 4th Avenue West.

The 30-year-old Pelican Narrows man is charged with assault.

He will appear Wednesday in Prince Albert provincial court.
