Service resumes on UP Express, Kitchener Line after person struck by train

Train service has resumed on the UP Express and GO Transit’s Kitchener Line after a person was struck east of Weston GO station.

Toronto paramedics said a man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Transit officials had suspended train service for a brief period but were allowed to open one track to allows trains to go through.

Several trains experienced delays of up to an hour during the morning rush hour.
