Kamloops RCMP say the presence of a possible explosive device led them to block off Cambridge Crescent early Tuesday morning.
According to CFJC News, police received a report of the device around 2 a.m. and evacuated four nearby homes as a precaution.

The RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU) was also called to the scene. They disposed of the device and brought in a bomb-sniffing dog from Kelowna to make sure no other devices were on the property. The dog did not find any.
CFJC News says a 38-year-old man from Keremeos, previously known to police, has been taken into custody and is facing charges.
