A Calgary mother has been ordered to stand trial for second-degree murder in the death of her three-year-old son.
Fatim Bamba, 29, is accused of killing her son, Isaiah Zoue.
Provincial court judge Joanne Durant ruled Thursday there is enough evidence to have Bamba stand trial, following a four-day preliminary inquiry.
Zoue was found dead inside Bamba’s Ranchlands home in January 2016. She was charged seven months later and has since been released on bail, under house-arrest.

Police have said the little boy was asphyxiated and may have been dead inside the home for up to 24 hours before he was found.
Bamba is scheduled to appear in Court of Queen’s Bench in October to set a trial date.
