The Middlesex OPP Crime Unit and the Office of the Fire Marshal are investigating a suspicious house fire that sent a boy, 14, to hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
Members of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police Service, Chippewas Fire Department, the Oneida Nation Paramedic Services, and Middlesex OPP all responded to reports of a structure fire on Lower Chippewa Road at roughly 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19.
When emergency responders arrived the single-family home was already fully engulfed.
The fire is being investigated as suspicious and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
