$36K in stolen property recovered in Delisle by Warman RCMP

A tip from the public helped Warman RCMP capture two suspected thieves and recover around $36,000 in stolen property.

Friends of someone whose truck had been stolen the previous day noticed it being driven around Delisle on the morning of Aug. 11.

They called police, who located it outside a home in the community west of Saskatoon.

The driver was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.

Police then searched the home where they said they recovered $36,000 in stolen goods, including two construction site GPS units.

A second man was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.

Claude Gauthier, 26, who is from Delisle, and James Block, 31, who is from Saskatoon, are also charged with failing to comply with the conditions of an undertaking.

Block has also been charged with failing to comply with the conditions of a remand order.

Both remain in custody and will appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Aug. 22.
