One person has died in a rollover crash in Pitt Meadows overnight.
Police say the crash happened at around 2:20 a.m. while travelling westbound on the Lougheed Highway. The car collided with a power pole on the Pitt River Bridge. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene.
Police say an early investigation indicates speed was a factor in this tragic accident.
The roads between Harris Road and the bridge were shut down for approximately five hours in order to collect evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
The roads and the bridge reopened around 7:30 a.m.
