The Naramata fire department was called in to fight the fire, but since it’s outside of their jurisdiction B.C. wildfire crews have now taken over.
The fire is burning about 3.5 kilometres east of Naramata and no homes are being threatened by the blaze.
Fire officials believe the blaze was human caused.
