Fatal crash closes section of Glendon Dr. near Mount Brydges

A woman has been pronounced dead in hospital after a serious crash along Glendon Drive.

Strathroy-Caradoc Police say the collision between a farm tractor and a vehicle happened at Glendon Drive and Troops Road just outside of Mount Brydges at roughly 10:40 a.m. Thursday.

The farm tractor was hauling a 53′ trailer containing three spray tanks. According to investigators, as it was pulling onto the roadway, an eastbound vehicle came over the train overpass and struck the middle of the trailer.

Thursday afternoon, police reported the victim, a 26-year-old woman, had died in hospital. The victim’s name and hometown have not been released.

Const. Kevin VanRooyen says they expect Glendon Drive to remain closed between Springwell Road and Highway 402 for the majority of the day as investigators work on scene.
