TILLSONBURG, Ont. – Two young men are seriously injured and a horse was put down after a horse-drawn buggy was hit by a pick-up truck southeast of London.
The collision happened at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday (on County Road 13) just north of Tillsonburg, when the truck collided with the back of the buggy.
The 20-year-old buggy driver was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries, while his passenger, a 22-year-old man, was taken to a Tillsonburg hospital.
The horse had to be put down due to the injuries it sustained.
The truck driver was not hurt.
Police are investigating and are appealing for any witnesses to call Oxford OPP or Crime Stoppers.
