A Peterborough woman has been arrested and charged following two robberies – at the same convenience store.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on July 7, police say a woman entered a Charlotte Street convenience store, brandished a knife and demanded that the clerk turn over cash from the register. The clerk handed over an amount of money and the woman fled the store.
Then, three days later at about 5:30 p.m., a woman matching the same description returned to the same location, brandished a knife and asked for cigarettes. Police say a brief altercation took place before the woman fled the store with the clerk’s cell phone.
On July 11, police arrested a woman in the area of Aylmer and Simcoe Streets.
Jennifer Harrison-Gallimore, 33, of Stewart Street, Peterborough, is charged with two counts of robbery with a weapon.
