A member of the Regina Police Service is facing assault charges after an incident from December 2016.
Police are saying that the officer assaulted a 25-year-old man during an arrest in the 1100 block of Lindsay Street on December 7, 2016.

44-year-old Colin Magee — a 15 year member with the Regina Police Service — is facing common assault charges after a complaint was made against him that he used excessive force.
Magee is scheduled to make his first court appearance on August 17.
Magee has been reassigned to administrative duties, pending the outcome of the criminal process.
