Hamilton police say an overnight shooting in central Hamilton is yet another example of targeted violence in the city.
A 56-year-old man was taken to hospital after shots were fired at the corner of Gibson Avenue and Cannon at around 1:30 a.m.

“He was not hit with multiple rounds and the injuries were minor,” said Hamilton Police Chief Eric Girt, noting that the shooting was targeted.
Girt is encouraging residents to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood.
Police will be canvassing the area of the shooting for evidence and continuing their search for three male suspects.
