Firefighters in Musquash, N.B., battled a blaze for eight hours on Friday that saw a local boarding house go up in flames.
The department first received word of the fire at 6:45 p.m and arrived at the 100 block of Little Lepreau Road to find thick black smoke coming from the rear of the building.

Firefighters fought the blaze for over eight hours but were eventually pulled out after the building’s structural integrity was compromised due to the fire.

According to a fire department press release, two people were in the building when the fire started but both were able to escape.
No injuries were reported and an investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing.
