Shocking video captured by security cameras on board a Kansas City Area Transportation Authority bus reveals the bravery of a passenger who confronted and fought off a knife-wielding man.
Daron Clay was riding the bus late Saturday night when a man sitting in front of him became enraged following an altercation with the driver.
The video shows a man pulling a knife from his pocket during an argument over a bus transfer.

Clay jumped into action and confronted the man in order to protect himself and other passengers, including a woman and her two kids seated across from the suspect.
“I didn’t want her to get hurt. I didn’t want the kids to get hurt,” Clay told KSHB-TV. “I knew I was going to get stabbed but I had to fight for my life.”
Clay can be seen wrestling with the suspect in the video. As he pushes the knife-wielding man toward the front of the bus, the windshield of the vehicle shatters and the two men are seen dangling out of the bus.
Clay was stabbed once in the side just before the bus driver opened the front doors and the suspect fled.
Police were able to locate and arrest a suspect who has now been charged with aggravated assault.
Clay was taken to hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
