One driver is in hospital and another shaken after a head-on crash on Highway 831 involving a semi water truck and E-350 van.
Around 4 p.m. Saturday, the van crossed the centre line of the highway, colliding with the semi-truck. The van veered into the ditch after the collision. The driver and lone occupant, a 26-year-old man from Edmonton, was pulled from the vehicle by emergency responders and flown to hospital via STARS with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 74-year-old man from Boyle at the wheel of the semi was released from the scene with minor injuries.
An RCMP collision analyst attended the scene, with the investigation underway.
Drivers on the highway experienced delays as the road was reduced to one lane of alternating traffic. (KLM, ms)
