2015 Playboy Playmate of the Year Dani Mathers pleaded no contest last week to charges of invasion of privacy for a Snapchat photo she posted of a naked woman in a Los Angeles LA Fitness locker room last July. Mathers captioned the pic, “if I can’t unsee this then you can’t either.”
Speaking to ABC News for the first time since being sentenced to serve 30 days of community service, Mathers expressed her regret and apologized for her actions.
Mathers had already apologized for posting the photo in a filmed statement last year, which she has maintained she posted “accidentally,” intending it for a private conversation.

Now, Mathers tells ABC News, “I just want her to be able to move on and move forward in her life, and not feel judged,” adding, “I’m so sorry.”
But it’s not just an apology Mathers wanted to talk about. She’s also speaking out over the treatment she’s received since the post, which started with being banned from LA Fitness for life and parting ways with Playboy, but went as far as receiving death threats.
Mathers says at one point she had to hide out in her mother’s house to avoid harassment. “I had lost my privacy, after taking privacy from somebody else.”
She also makes clear she was not intending to break the law: “I just wasn’t thinking, to be honest.”
“I hope that she can forgive me,” Mathers says of the woman in her photo.
