Two teenage girls were taken to hospital with serious injuries after they were struck by a vehicle in North York Wednesday morning.
The incident happened just before 10 a.m. on Bayview Avenue south of Finch Avenue.
Police said both 18-year-old victims were crossing the street when they were hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on Bayview.
Const. Clint Stibbe of Traffic Services said one person was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries while the other suffered serious injuries.
There’s no word yet the cause of the collision but the vehicle remained at the scene.
Police said they are looking to determine if a second vehicle was involved in the incident.
Traffic is closed on Bayview Avenue between Finch Avenue and McKee Avenue for the police investigation.
