Guns N’ Roses paid tribute to Chris Cornell during their concert at Ireland’s Slane Castle by performing a cover of Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun.
The recently-reunited band performed at the outdoor venue for their Not in This Lifetime tour on May 27 and they took time out from their regular set to pay their respects to Cornell, who died on May 18 at the age of 52.
After performing Civil War, Guns N’ Roses performed a cover of Black Hole Sun, which was released as a single from Soundgarden’s fourth studio album, Superunknown.

Cornell, who was laid to rest at a private ceremony in Los Angeles on Friday, was also honoured with a cover of Black Hole Sun by a 225-person choir from Toronto.

Vedder opened his Amsterdam show on May 27 with Pearl Jam’s Long Road, changing the lyrics to “Without you/something is missing.”
