A funeral was held on Friday for a 15-year-old killed during unrest in Venezuela‘s western Tachira state during recent lootings and clashes.
Jose Francisco Guerrero was shot dead during the spate of looting on Wednesday his relatives said.
The boy’s death brings the number of dead from protests to at least 43, equal to that of the 2014 protests.

However, President Nicolas Maduro accuses the opposition of inciting violence in the country which has brought on the deaths of youth such as Jose Francisco Guerrero.
Venezuela has sent thousands of troops to Tachira in recent days to help quell anger against his government that has seen violence erupt on the streets.
Maduro’s critics are protesting for early elections amidst widespread discontent over food shortages, a flailing economy and spiralling inflation.
