Nick Kondrat, the RBG’s Manager of Communications, describes the burn as “an important means of preserving the threatened tallgrass prairie and oak savannah” at Princess Point.

There is no access to Princess Point Trail on Thursday, but a safe viewing area is in place for visitors to witness the controlled burn.
