An Air Canada plane that had just taken off from Montréal-Trudeau airport to Shanghai, China Saturday was forced to turn around because of engine trouble.
The aircraft, a Boeing 787 with 213 passengers on board, had to unload some of its fuel over the Laurentians to land safely.
Passengers shared images of the operation on social media.
Airport firefighters were mobilized, but the plane returned safely shortly after 3 p.m.
