Ontario Provincial Police have reopened the Burlington Skyway after high winds blew over a tractor-trailer on Wednesday.
The OPP said the Toronto-bound lanes were reopened before 5 p.m. The Fort Erie-bound lanes reopened minutes later.

James Estepp, a 35-year driver who lives in the United States, was driving the tractor-trailer southbound at around noon when it fell on its side.
“The tractor pretty much slowed down to about 30 miles an hour and I guess I happened to be the empty truck. (The wind) caught the back of the trailer and just kind of rolled it over like a wave,” he told police during an online live stream, adding he and his passenger weren’t injured.
“Luckily, I guess the people behind me saw it because nobody got underneath me.”

Crews had to drag the tractor-trailer down to the base of the bridge and lift it there due to the intense winds.
Environment Canada said peak wind gusts in the Hamilton area reached 115 km/h.
