Flurries have hit the Vancouver area again this morning, but they are not expected to stick around for long.
Global BC meteorologist Mark Madryga says while a clearing will take over later this morning, another weather system moving down from the northwest will hit the Lower Mainland by early Tuesday evening.
Madryga says rain will fall near sea level but mixed rain and snow will fall over areas away from the water, with several centimetres of wet snow likely for higher elevations and in the Fraser Valley.
Milder air will roll in later this evening with rain falling over most areas. However, Madryga says snow will continue in eastern sections of the Fraser Valley through this evening.
More flurries may also be on the way as the milder air sweeps in tonight and will hold through Friday.
Snow also fell across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley on Monday. A snowfall warning was in place for much of Tuesday in the Fraser Valley as the snow didn’t let up until late in the afternoon.
