The Office of the Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate after one person was found dead in a downtown Hamilton apartment fire Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to a high-rise on Main Street West at Hess Street South just after 8 p.m.
The victim was found in a ninth floor apartment and brought down to paramedics, but he died.
There were no other injuries or fatalities, officials said.
