‘My Babysitter’s a Vampire’ sinks fangs into $50,000 Shaw Rocket Prize

TORONTO – The supernatural comedy “My Babysitter’s a Vampire” has won this year’s prestigious Shaw Rocket Prize.

The award comes with $50,000 and recognizes the best in Canadian kids’ programming.

“My Babysitter’s a Vampire” follows the antics of three geeky teens and their vampire babysitter as they defend their town against an array of supernatural creatures.

The live-action half-hour series airs on Teletoon.

The winner of the Shaw Rocket Prize was chosen by a jury made up of kids from across Canada.
