A head-on crash on Highway 1, about 17 kilometres west of Kamloops, has claimed two lives.
RCMP and BC Ambulance crews were called to the crash site around 11:30 Saturday morning.
Two people in a car that collided with a pickup truck were deceased when they arrived.
The two people inside the pickup were taken to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops with injuries.
Members from Central Interior Traffic Services and a traffic analyst are investigating.
Highway 1 remains closed in both directions.
Traffic is being diverted to Highway 5.
