What started as a minor collision has resulted in an Alberta man being charged in Saskatoon after a driver said a rifle was aimed at him in an alleged road rage incident.
The collision happened early Thursday morning on Highway 7 just west of the city.

One of the drivers’s involved left the scene before giving out any information and the second driver followed him to 22nd Street West and Betts Avenue.
Saskatoon police said the situation escalated at that point and resulted in one driver grabbing a long-barreled gun from his vehicle and aiming it at the second driver.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
Police said they arrested a man early Friday morning in the lobby of a Marquis Drive hotel.

The 44-year-old Sherwood Park, Alta., man is facing two charges of pointing a firearm and one count of meth possession.
He is scheduled to appear Friday before a justice of the peace.
