Fort McMurray RCMP searching for suspects in attempted kidnapping

RCMP in Fort McMurray are looking for two suspects after an attempted kidnapping in the northern Alberta city.

Police said a woman was walking downtown in the area of Richard Street and Franklin Avenue in downtown shortly after midnight on Dec. 4 when a car pulled up beside her with two men inside.

One of the men came out of the vehicle and asked the woman to get in the car, but she refused, according to RCMP. Police said the victim fought back when the man grabbed and assaulted her, and managed to run away.

The person who assaulted the woman is described as a black male, over six feet tall, a stocky build, with no facial hair.
