Police in northern Alberta are searching for a suspect after a witness in a trial was assaulted at a casino.
On Nov. 29 at 11:00 a.m., a man was assaulted at the Boomtown Casino in Fort McMurray. Police said the suspect then told the man not to testify as a witness for an upcoming trial, which is being held outside of Fort McMurray.
Police said the suspect is described as about 5’10” tall, and at the time had a scratch below his right eye, and a bruise above his left eye. He was wearing a white hooded sweater with a black pattern at the waist, and a black toque.
Anyone able to identify the suspect or has any information is asked to call Wood Buffalo RCMP at (780) 788-4000, or submit their information anonymously though Crime Stoppers.
