Police have laid human trafficking-related charges against a 25-year-old Edmonton man for allegedly forcing a woman to work in the sex trade.
In a media release sent Thursday, police said Prince Opoku was arrested following an investigation into his alleged involvement in the sex services industry.
Police allege Opoku forced a woman in her early 20s to travel to cities in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta to work in the sex industry beginning in early 2015.

Police arrested Opoku at a northeast Edmonton home on Monday.
Opoku is facing multiple firearm and human trafficking-related charges including:

- Breach of peace bond (x2)
Police said additional charges may be pending.
