A young Calgary man is no longer facing a charge of dangerous driving after dashcam video of the incident went viral last spring.

The stunt happened on northbound Highway 2 near Bowden, Alta. at around 11:20 a.m. on April 10.

The video, posted by Anton Vladimirovich, shows a car travelling in the right-hand lane which swerves into the centre of the lane and passes between two vehicles travelling in front of it.

He had been set to start trial Thursday in Red Deer, but instead, the charge was withdrawn.

The Crown prosecutor’s office said after speaking to witnesses, there was no reasonable likelihood of conviction as no one would be able to positively identify who was driving the car.
