WINNIPEG — Family members, students, friends, and even strangers have joined in the search for Kevin Dilk.
Dilk was last seen leaving his St. Boniface home on foot Wednesday morning. Five days later, the search has expanded from posters to two ground searches on Sunday.
Family members said it wasn’t unusual for him to leave home early for a walk or to walk to work at Collège Béliveau.
His disappearance Wednesday morning has left his family and the French community in shock.

His niece, Ginger Dilk, is begging anyone with any answers to please come forward.
“Please come home! If anyone knows anything, please tell us. This is a nightmare [and] we just want him home,” said Ginger Dilk.
Two searches took place Sunday to look for the missing teacher. The first one at 11 a.m. was led by family and friends. The Bear Clan Patrol helped in the second search.
Winnipeg Police Service said there’s no update on the whereabouts of Dilk as the search continues.
