Twenty-seven-year-old Dane Stanway went missing in early May 2016, and now investigators believe he may have been killed.

“Mr. Stanway was leading a lifestyle associated to criminal activity and was known to police,”Cpl. Meghan Foster with IHIT said. “However, the reasons surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, and anyone who may have information is asked to contact IHIT.”

IHIT and RCMP say they have been working to collect evidence and identify witnesses. They believe Stanway was on the Sunshine Coast at the beginning of May when he was last heard from.

Anyone with information is asked to contact IHIT at 1-877-551-IHIT, or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
