During an interview with Global Toronto on Tuesday, Doug Ford took aim at anchor Alan Carter for his line of questioning into the Ford family’s relationship with the media and the police investigation into Rob Ford and Sandro Lisi.
Ford released a new book on Tuesday that he co-wrote with his brother, former Toronto mayor Rob Ford, entitled Ford Nation: Two Brothers, One Vision—The True Story of the People’s Mayor.

On several occasions, Ford became visibly angered and unleashed rants both at, and about, Carter.
Ford first became frustrated during a line of questioning about his late brother Rob’s relationship with telling the truth. Ford deflected the criticism that Rob lied to the press and said current Toronto mayor John Tory lied about his promise to keep taxes down.
Ford refused to specifically address why Rob lied to the press despite being asked numerous times.

Ford also took issue with Carter’s line of questioning about the Toronto Star’s reporting on the notorious video of Rob smoking crack cocaine.
After Carter challenged Ford’s statement that the Star “lied continuously,” Ford repeatedly cut off Carter’s questions.

Carter asked Ford if he would issue an apology to former Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair for comments Ford made in the past, which caused him to react in disbelief.
“You gotta be kidding me. You gotta be kidding me,” Ford said.
“(Blair) goes out and breaks the police act, and starts accusing the Mayor that he shouldn’t even be involved in politics. He shouldn’t be involved in politics – Bill Blair – right now. You gotta be kidding me.”
When asked if the Toronto police investigation into Rob and Sandro Lisi was warranted, Ford unleashed his frustration on Carter personally, calling him, “so naive.”

Ford concluded the interview by outlining what he said he feels are his brother’s greatest achievements before criticizing the media again.
