As technology creeps into every part of modern life, one north Okanagan school is sticking with the basics.
Cedar Bridge School aims to bring education and nature together.
The independent school celebrated a milestone expansion on Friday. The school held a ceremony to open two new classrooms.
It’s grown from humble beginnings.
“Ten years ago we started with a desire to bring education and farm life, but more specifically relationship with nature, closer together,” explained principal Emily Hladych.
“It started in my house actually for two years. We had three children at our first kindergarten class.”
The school now serves 80 children from pre-kindergarten through to grade 6.
The school hopes to keep expanding. It aims to eventually offer classes all the way up to grade 8.
