His sister-in-law, Daniela Lopilato, has now confirmed to an Argentinian magazine Noah is battling liver cancer and has begun chemo. She said he was diagnosed on Nov. 1 after a liver biopsy.
“Cancer is a horrible disease, but we have faith that Noah will succeed. We know,” Lopilato told Gente magazine. “It was time to begin treatment. Will be long and hard, but you have to go. They say that children are usually strong to withstand chemotherapy … and my nephew is a warrior.”
According to Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato, their son will be receiving treatment in the U.S.
“At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing,” Bublé said in a statement on Nov. 4.
Bublé and his wife have two children: Noah, and his younger brother Elias, who was born on Jan. 22, 2016.
