Veterans Affairs minister visits Hudson Legion for Remembrance Day parade

The Town of Hudson held its annual Remembrance Day parade and ceremony Sunday afternoon, with a guest appearance by Canada’s Minister of Veterans Affairs, Kent Hehr.

Hundreds were in attendance as the parade kicked off at the IGA grocery store on Main Street.

While membership numbers in many Royal Canadian Legions have dwindled over the years, the Hudson branch still boasts over 300 members.

The event was organized by the Hudson Legion.

The parade was followed by a cenotaph ceremony with a Remembrance Day dinner planned for Friday night.

Also in attendance was the local MP for Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Peter Schiefke.
