Spooky start to Halloween in Saskatchewan with a major warm-up for the first week of November!
Saskatoon Forecast
Today
Freezing fog fell over the Saskatoon last night before conditions cleared in the city by morning.
It was a spooky start to Halloween in parts of western Saskatchewan though with thick fog dropping visibility down to a few hundred metres in Kindersley for much of the morning.
-7 is what it felt like with wind chill in Saskatoon this morning as the mercury dipped back to -4.
Clouds built back into the area early this morning and temperatures rose up to 3 C by noon before shooting up a few more degrees under mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the day.
Tonight
For all those ghouls and goblins heading out trick-or-treating tonight, the forecast holds a treat for you – no precipitation, just cloudy skies and temperatures around 2 or 3 C around 5 p.m., dipping to the freezing mark by around 8 or 9 this evening.
Clouds will stick around overnight with some fog patches possibly forming once again as the mercury dips even further back below freezing by a degree or so.
Tuesday
A weak low pressure system swinging through tomorrow will keep us in the clouds throughout the day with a slight chance of showers midday as a cold front swings through.
Temperatures will top out around 4 or 5 C in the afternoon.
Wednesday-Friday
We then get into a building upper ridge of high pressure that’ll eventually clear skies out later on Wednesday with a daytime high in mid-single digits and bring back the sunshine later in the week.
The upper ridge builds and builds and builds right into the weekend with daytime highs pushing into double digits Thursday and Friday under mostly sunny skies.
Weekend Outlook
This massive ridge should hold strong into the weekend potentially pushing daytime highs into the low teens under mostly sunny skies on Saturday before we may see a few more clouds on Sunday as a system looks like it’ll finally slide through into early next week.
