Devon Hein accused of altering advance voting photo

Devon Hein accused of altering tweeted photo taken during advance voting in the upcoming Saskatoon civic election.

Devon Hein, who is running to be mayor of Saskatoon, is drawing criticism after being accused of tweeting doctored pictures of people at advance polls in the upcoming civic election.

Kathy Allen said she took a picture to encourage voting, not to endorse a candidate.

But a picture tweeted by Hein shows the words “Vote Hein” replacing “Your Vote Counts.”

Hein tweeted a second edited picture, and one of the people in it tweeted back saying he does not support Hein.

The city’s returning officer is aware of the issue.
