Downtown traffic disruptions in store as Blue Jays battle Indians at Rogers Centre

There will be a number of traffic disruptions in downtown Toronto Monday night as the Blue Jays host the Cleveland Indians in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series at the Rogers Centre.

Toronto police are warning motorists that there will be road closures surrounding the stadium before and after the game.

The closures are as follows:

  • Blue Jays Way will have a partial road closure, for southbound traffic, from Front Street West to Navy Wharf
  • Bremner Boulevard will have a partial road closure, for eastbound traffic, from Spadina Avenue to Rees Street
  • Bremner Boulevard will have a full road closure, for eastbound traffic, from Rees Street to Lower Simcoe Street
  • Bremner Boulevard will have a full road closure, for westbound traffic, from Lower Simcoe Street to Navy Wharf
  • Rees Street will have a full road closure, for northbound traffic, from Lakeshore Blvd to Bremner Blvd

Police are reminding people to use alternate routes, car-pool if possible and to take public transit instead.

Anyone wishing to hail a taxi or to be picked up or dropped off can do so on Front Street West, east of Blue Jays Way.
