MONTREAL – The SPCA hopes to arrange the adoption of 200 animals over the next three days with a project called “Operation Adoption.”
Staff members admitted that the event is going to be a lot of work but it also means many animal lives will be saved.
The SPCA’s executive director, Nicholas Gilman, said that the City of Montreal will be helping with each adoption.

Richard Deschamps, the vice-president of the executive committee of the City of Motnreal was at the SPCA to launch the event on Tuesday.
He spoke about how authorities are working to oversee animal welfare and ensure adequate animal control.
Deschamps noted that like most other big cities, Montreal is facing an animal overpopulation issue.
He said that the city wants to promote pet adoption because when they act responsibly animal owners are an important part of the solution.
