Armoured vehicle on scene on Cathedral Avenue for firearms investigation

WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police have closed a street in the North End as part of a firearms investigation Wednesday morning.

Cathedral Avenue is closed between Arlington and McKenzie Streets. There is a heavy police presence on scene as well as the armoured rescue vehicle (ARV1).

Police closed off the steer just after midnight Wednesday, and police remain on scene.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
