Winnipeg Blue Bombers clinch playoff spot

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are headed back to the post-season.

The Bombers clinched their first playoff berth since 2011 from the comfort of their own couches on Monday. Losses by each the Toronto Argonauts and the Montreal Alouettes sends the Bombers back to the playoffs.

With a 9-6 record the Bombers still have three games remaining and can still host a playoff game. They can still finish as high as second in the West Division, but can now do no worse than a crossover playoff spot.

The Bombers travel to B.C. to face the Lions on Friday before getting a bye week.
