Logan Flodell stopped all 31 shots he faced to lift the Saskatoon Blades to a 2-0 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders on Thursday in Western Hockey League action.

Jesse Shynkaruk and Josh Paterson supplied the offence for Saskatoon (3-2-0) with power-play goals.

Shynkaruk, who found the back of the net 15:04 into the second period, has three goals over the first five games of the season.

Paterson’s goal gave the Blades their 2-0 lead midway through the third.

Ian Scott made 24 saves for the Raiders (2-4-0).

The Blades are back in action on Saturday when they host the Portland Winterhawks. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. CT at SaskTel Centre.
